Thankful for 2018

This Thanksgiving was memorable for many reasons.  While Jae and I love to host Thanksgiving (and have multiple times), this year was full of other firsts.

For one, this was Jae's Mom's first time visiting Minnesota since Jae and I were married.  She came to celebrate Thanksgiving and stayed Monday through Friday.  With that, it was the first time Mi met both Mila and Kai.  She spent so much of the time fawning over the kids, which was amazing.

For two, I broke my ankle two days before we hosted - which meant that I was with limited mobility while hosting.  Thank goodness I had cleaned in preparation for Jae's mom to come into town.  If I hadn't, the house would've been a total disaster when everyone came.

For three, this was Kai's first Thanksgiving, and while he won't remember it, it was special to us regardless.  There will never be another "First Thanksgiving" since he's the last.  

As a whole, Jae and I are so thankful for everything we have.  We are thankful for our families.  We are thankful for all four of our children.  We are thankful for the traditions we are able to have: including setting up our tree and our day-after-Thanksgiving pajama opening.
